Primitive Jimma Chair from Ethiopia
Handcarved from a single tree trunk, this chair is solid and sturdy. Characteristic of chairs from southwestern Ethiopia’s Jimma region, it has the three wide legs, circular cutouts and a tall, rounded backrest. The simplicity of the design lends it a straightforward, sculptural quality.
